All you Potterheads rejoice because from October 1 to 12 November, Warner Bros Studio’s is hosting a Dark Arts themed Halloween event, where you get to explore the darker, creepier side of the Harry Potter film series by going behind the scenes and admiring the props, costumes and even the choreography behind wand combat.

Remember when you first saw Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone and you saw that iconic Great Hall with candles and food lying about in long tables, it was amazing wasn’t it? But picture this now, the Great Hall set to be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins. Identical to those you saw in Hagrid’s pumpkin patch in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, these pumpkins are going to be created by Head Propmaker on all the Harry Potter films, Pierre Bohanna. In addition to that, due to the Halloween festival, you’ll also find a Hallowe’en feast of red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons of lollipops.

And no, it’s not just food based, there are a ton of interactive activities. You actually get to participate and learn the art of wand combat, the movements and style will be taught by the Wand Choreographer from the Harry Potter movie itself, Paul Harris. You get to participate  in an exciting live duel with Death Eaters in the Studio Tour’s backlot. In addition to that, you get to go behind the scenes of the famous Battle of Hogwarts scene, where they demonstrate how a crowd scene would have been created during filming. Be ready to testy out your newly learned wand techniques as you face Death Eaters whom are storming the Hogwarts Bridge.

You also get to see the original Death Eater costumes from the film series. They’re on display on the set and you get to come up close to observe the intricate detailing of the embroidered robes and hand-painted masks. “During production, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’s followers each wore a unique mask, handmade by the Prop Making Department that was designed to reflect their personality.”

For all you Harry Potter fans, this is a must see. Buy tickets here!
